If the book of Revelation was a cathedral, the seventh trumpet would be the apex of its central dome. Here, the drama reaches its highest point since the mystery hidden from all ages is about to be revealed -- the subject proper of this book.
In this chapter, we look at the overall structure of the 4 chapters that are the subject of the seventh trumpet and gain insight into the flow of these hard-to-interpret events. We do this in preparation for a more detailed study to follow, primarily because we do not want to lose track of the overall meaning of the Book of Revelation, for if it is hard to understand the details of this great book it is still harder to grasp the overall significance and the primary message conveyed to us.
