Revelation -- 26

The Book of Revelation #26 If the first four trumpets dealt a blow to the natural surroundings of man, the fifth and sixth trumpets are far deadlier since they involve demonic intervention. Unlike the common portrayals of demons attacking a man in his flesh, however, in these plagues, the demonic attack consists primarily in deceiving those who have rejected the Lamb. The seal of protection that God gave believers earlier does not protect them from physical harm -- many are martyred; rather it protects their intellect from the deception that has now come. This talk builds on our understanding of the Covenant to properly explain how the demonic attacks fit within God's redemptive plan. This is a great source of consolation for the oppressed to know that God watches over his Church and that all the events of history are his instrument of salvation that He allows for His greater glory. Finally, the Liturgy is his heavenly court where He hears our petitions, nourishes us, and responds to our needs by effecting changes in the history of mankind. Liturgy makes history.
