The first four trumpets bring about a partial punishment by inflicting pain on man through nature.
They afflict nature in all its form but do not destroy it. These trumpets are an act of decreation since the grass, trees, earth, sea, stars, sun, and moon are all affected by these trumpets. These trumpets are also similar in content to the plagues of Egypt and we get to understand why.
